In Finland, kota huts are a traditional wooden structure, with a fireplace at the center, enjoyed by many during both summer and winter time.
Now you can experience the charm of this cosy kota, taking in the sounds, smell and warmth of the open fire, relaxing and enjoying quality time with friends, family and loved ones, as you share stories and grill snacks together.
The kota hut is located in the grounds of Santa Claus Holiday Village and is only a short walk from the hotel reception.
The booking includes 2 hours rental of the kota hut, firewood and fire lighting equipment. You will also find metal sticks / skewers for grilling snacks inside the hut.
Grill snacks and drinks can be purchased from our Christmas House shop, which is just opposite the hotel reception.
Maximum group is 15 people.
Every day at 12:00 - 14:00 or 18:00 - 20:00 until end of October.

E-Fatbikes offer wide tyres to help absorb the bumps of the forest trails and strong electric assistance to provide you with extra power!
The bike is reserved for you between 09:00 - 16:00 and you can pick the bike up and drop it off any time during these hours. Please choose the best of bike for your height - our bikes are suitable for riders between 158 - 195cm.
Bike pick up/drop is at Santa Claus Holiday Village hotel reception. Please show your booking confirmation to the hotel receptionist. You will also need to show ID in the same name as the booking confirmation.

Start your Arctic summer evening with an unforgettable bike adventure right from Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle! This guided tour takes you through the peaceful nature trails surrounding Santa’s home.
Riding electric fatbikes make the ride easy and fun for everyone. We begin our journey at 18:00 and ride through quiet paths, discovering the most beautiful nature spots in the area. First, we head up to Syväsenvaara Hill, where a scenic observation tower offers panoramic views over Rovaniemi and the surrounding wilderness — perfect for your first golden hour photo stop. Next, we continue to Häkinvaara Hill, where we take a short break and enjoy local blueberry juice with another amazing view. A small taste of Lapland’s natural flavors in the middle of the forest! On our way back, we ride through Santa’s secret beach, a peaceful hidden spot known only to locals. Here we take our final photos and soak in the evening light before returning to Santa Claus Holiday Village.
If you’re at least 155 cm tall and can ride a bicycle, you’re ready to go! No previous experience with fatbikes or electric bikes is needed.

Canoeing is the perfect and relaxing way to discover Lapland in summer while respecting its untouched nature. Finland, also known as the Land of a Thousand Lakes, is covered by more than 188 000 lakes. A significant amount of them are located in Lapland. The lakes and rivers are home to many birds and little mammals, such as geese, swans, longspurs, cranes, otters and many others. If you are lucky enough, you may spot them!

To enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Midnight Sun, there is no better way than paddling on some of the many lakes and rivers of Lapland. During this activity, your qualified canoe guide will teach you the basic techniques of how to canoe and will provide you with all the safety instructions needed. Once back onshore, you will be welcomed by an open fire and some typical Finnish campfire snacks.

If you are in search of a more challenging experience, you are at the right place! This safari will take you out of Rovaniemi, straight into the Taiga forest and its beautiful nature, where you can learn more about the trees, plants and wildlife. You will also be taught how to use your surroundings to make a fire and other basic survival skills.

You will be taken to a beautiful local fishing spot where you can relax and try your luck at catching fish the classic way. Typical fish species include perch, roach, and bream — all common fish in Finnish lakes and rivers. If you’re lucky, you can prepare your fresh catch right by the fire! If not, then there are sausages for back-up!
