In Santa Claus Holiday Village, you can visit Santa Claus in his office. However, if you want to avoid queuing and enjoy a private meeting, why not invite him to your room? You can ask Santa Claus a variety of questions that occupy your mind, or simply listen to what Santa Claus wishes to tell you and your family. When Santa Claus visits your cabin you can take as many photographs as you wish. You can also request Santa Claus to distribute personal gifts when he comes to visit.

This activity is suitable for families with children of all ages. What better way to meet Santa and tell him all the reasons why you’re on his ‘nice’ list this year, than in his private cabin, tucked away in the snowy forest.
When he’s not busy preparing for Christmas, at his Christmas House office, his favorite place to be is in the peaceful surroundings of his cabin in the forest.
Not only will you have the chance to meet Santa, but you will also get to enjoy a workshop with his best helpers, where they will tell you everything you need to know about the life of an elf. The elves will join you for gingerbread decorating, so you have a sweet treat to enjoy during your time in the forest. Also the elves will show you how to make a unique christmas decoration to bring home with you as a memory of your time in Lapland.
Of course, Santa wouldn’t be able to deliver presents all over the world without the help of his loyal reindeer. They too enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest and will be happy to see you when you come to visit. You will have time to meet, feed and take some photos with them, as they take some rest before their big journey.
When your turn comes to visit Santa, he will be sure create special, quality time just for your family. You will have a private meeting with Santa in his forest cabin – you can ask him any questions you may have and you are welcome to take as many photos and videos with your own devices as you wish.

Taste of Lapland is a wonderful early-winter program where you get to experience Lapland’s most popular bucket list activities all in one package.The program is perfect for families, groups of friends and couples.It includes a visit to a reindeer farm and feeding the reindeer, a short 500-meter husky sleigh ride either on wheels or runners (depending on snow conditions) and meeting Santa Claus in his cabin.After all the excitement of the day, you will be served a delicious lunch at our beautiful wooden cabin restaurant to finish our time together. If you would like to enjoy the beautiful Lappish scenery at an easy pace and without spending hours travelling by car, this is a perfect option for you.
After collecting your winter overall and boots, we will take your small group to start your adventure at Ounasvaara hill, just 15 minutes drive away. Here you can enjoy some of Rovaniemi's most spectacular views, from the top of the hill, looking over Rovaniemi city and the Kemijoki river.
Along the hiking trail, you will enjoy passing through the Arctic forest, surrounded by nature, in a peaceful and frosty atmosphere.
During the trip, we will climb the Ounasvaara Observation Tower and enjoy a hot drink and small snack.

When you arrive, our experienced guide will provide you with all the information that you need to maximise your chances of spotting this spectacle of nature. They will tell you about ancient Finnish myths and legends of how the Auroras form and also the scientific explanation for their appearances. They will also give you useful tips on how to take the best photos, including which settings to use on your camera or mobile device.
Whilst you eagerly wait to see if you are lucky enough to observe the beautiful lights dancing across the arctic sky, you can stay toasty and warm by the open fire in our cosy kota hut. You will also be provided with BBQ snacks which you can grill over the crackling open fire.
If you prefer to take some time inside, or you have little ones who are getting sleepy, don’t worry, you can always head inside the heated wood cabin where you are welcome to stay for as much time as you wish.
If you are fortunate enough to see the auroras, our guide will be happy to help you take photos using your own camera/devices. Tripods compatible to most cameras and smartphones are available for rent on site.

Aurora Hunt Under the Arctic Sky! • Chase the Auroras by car • Aged 10+!

Each night, we carefully check where the best chances for seeing the auroras are and head out together away from the city lights. Depending on the conditions, we may need to drive further to find clear skies.
At the viewing location, our experienced guide will share fascinating stories about the myths and legends of the Northern Lights, as well as the scientific explanation of this natural wonder. You’ll also receive valuable tips on how to capture the auroras with your camera or smartphone. To help you, we provide tripods compatible with most cameras and mobile devices.
While waiting for the auroras, you can relax around an open fire and enjoy BBQ snacks. If you’re lucky and the lights appear, our guide will be there to help you take the perfect photos of your once-in-a-lifetime moment under the arctic sky.

Feel the speed with huskies in silent, snowy forest. This husky safari is an ideal experience for families, groups, solo travelers and couples. You are warmly welcome to enjoy this traditional way of travelling in the Arctic. Two people share one sled, and during the safari, you can change the driver. Children sit in the sled during the safari. The trail length is between 4 – 5 km and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, depending on the weather conditions and speed of the group. In addition to the husky sleigh ride, you can spend time with the dogs and learn more about them. Huskies are friendly dogs that love their job!

This extraordinary cruise takes you onto the frozen sea, where you'll walk on solid ice and float safely in icy water wearing a thermal survival suit. Your Icebreaker Arktis experience includes a 3-hour icebreaker cruise, round-trip transfers from Rovaniemi to the harbor in Kemi, ice floating, walking on the frozen sea (weather permitting), and a certificate of participation. Onboard, you'll enjoy two cozy indoor decks and a modern café with Arctic views.
Please note: the cruise is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Minimum height for the ice floating activity is 140 cm.

Welcome to experience the unique Sampo Icebreaker Cruise in Lapland on the frozen sea in Kemi, Finland. Step aboard legendary Icebreaker Sampo and dive into a once-in-a-lifetime experience! This extraordinary cruise takes you onto the frozen sea, where you'll walk on solid ice and float safely in icy water wearing a thermal survival suit. The 3.5 hour morning cruise includes ice floating experience, walking on ice, guided tour around the vessel, diploma, welcome drink and entrance to the SnowCastle area exhibitions. On the 4 hour afternoon cruise, you also get access to enjoy the lunch buffet on board.
