Invite Santa Claus to visit your cabin for a private family meeting.
While Santa can be visited free of charge at his office in Santa Claus Village, this experience gives your family dedicated time together without waiting in line.
During the visit, you can talk with Santa, ask questions and take as many photos and videos as you wish using your own devices.
Santa can also distribute personal gifts during the visit if they have been delivered in advance.

If you would like Santa Claus to distribute gifts during the visit, please deliver them to the Christmas House Store before 15:00 on the day of the meeting.
Fatbike ride • Traditional Finnish sauna • River swimming
Experience three Finnish summer favourites in one guided excursion: cycling, sauna and river swimming.
The tour begins with a guided fatbike ride through a combination of cycling routes and forest trails. The route is approximately 15–20 km long and takes around one hour, depending on the group and conditions.
At the riverside destination, you will have free time to enjoy a traditional wood-heated Finnish sauna, swim in the river and relax by the water. The sauna is open to the public, and facilities are shared with other visitors.
A riverside terrace restaurant is located next to the sauna, where food and drinks can be purchased separately.
No previous cycling experience is required. Participants can choose a bicycle suitable for their height.

Fatbike rental • Explore at your own pace • Arctic Circle trails
Explore Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle area independently with a fatbike rental.
Fatbikes are designed for both forest trails and paved routes, making them an excellent way to discover the surrounding nature and local attractions at your own pace.
From Santa Claus Village, you can head into the nearby forests, explore Santa's Backyard Bike Trails or cycle towards Rovaniemi city centre along scenic riverside routes.
Your bike is reserved for 3 hours, giving you the freedom to choose your own route, speed and destination.
Bike pick-up and return take place at Santa Claus Holiday Village Reception. Please show your booking confirmation to the safari desk or reception staff.

Discover one of Finland's most traditional outdoor activities on a guided berry and mushroom picking excursion.
Depending on the season and natural conditions, you may find wild berries such as bilberries, lingonberries and cloudberries, as well as a variety of edible mushrooms. Your guide will help you identify common species and explain sustainable foraging practices used in Finland.
Along the way, you will learn more about local nature, Finnish outdoor traditions and life in Lapland.
You are welcome to taste the berries you collect, and during the excursion your guide will prepare a berry drink using seasonal ingredients.
As nature determines what is available, every tour is slightly different.

Lake fishing • Private fishing location • Cook your own catch
Experience traditional Finnish lake fishing at a private fishing location surrounded by forest.
Your guide will introduce the basics of one of Finland's most traditional fishing methods using a fishing rod, float and bait. The lake is home to several native fish species, including perch, pike and lake trout.
During the excursion, you will fish from the lakeside while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the forest. A traditional Finnish laavu shelter overlooking the lake provides a comfortable place to relax by the fire.
If you catch a fish, your guide will show you how to prepare and fillet it before cooking it over the open fire.
Please inform us in advance of any dietary requirements or if you do not eat fish.

Waterfall views • Scenic hiking trails • Suitable for ages 7+
Discover one of Lapland's best-known natural attractions on a guided day trip to Auttiköngäs.
Located about one hour from Rovaniemi, Auttiköngäs is known for its impressive waterfall, scenic forest trails and historic river landscape. During the excursion, your guide will introduce the area's nature, history and unique geological features.
The hiking route is approximately 3–4 km long and follows well-maintained trails through the forest and waterfall area.
A packed lunch and berry juice are included. We recommend bringing your own water bottle and any additional snacks you may wish to have during the day.
Suitable for adults and children aged 7 and above.

Arctic animals • Polar bear • Suitable for the whole family
Visit Ranua Wildlife Park, home to over 50 Arctic and northern animal species.
Located approximately one hour from Rovaniemi, the wildlife park offers the opportunity to see Finland's only polar bear, as well as wolves, wolverines, lynxes, Arctic foxes and many other northern animals.
The animals live in spacious enclosures designed to reflect their natural environment, making Ranua Wildlife Park one of Finland's most popular family attractions.
The park also features a restaurant, café and souvenir shop. This excursion is suitable for guests of all ages, including families with children.

Midnight Sun • Floating on a forest lake • BBQ by the fire
Experience the Midnight Sun while floating on a peaceful forest lake.
The excursion takes place at a private lakeside location approximately 20 minutes from Rovaniemi. Your guide will help you into a specially designed floating suit that keeps you warm and dry throughout the experience.
Once on the lake, you can relax and float effortlessly on the water while enjoying the unique light of the Arctic summer night. The floating experience lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Afterwards, you will have time to relax by the lakeside fire, enjoy BBQ snacks and berry juice, and take in the surroundings.
Your guide can also help you take photos using your own camera or smartphone.
There is no age limit for participation, but guests must be at least 150 cm tall.

During the excursion, you can try a variety of outdoor activities popular with Finnish families, including Mölkky, frisbee golf, beach volleyball and magnetic darts.
The activities take place at a private forest location surrounded by nature, offering a relaxed way to spend time outdoors with family and friends.
After the games, you can gather around the open fire to enjoy BBQ snacks, toasted marshmallows and berry juice.

Northern lights • Magical experience • Visit our beautiful forest location
Join us for an evening trip to a carefully selected forest location with good opportunities to see the Northern Lights.
Once darkness falls, we will head away from the city lights and into the surrounding nature. If conditions are favourable, you may have the chance to see the Northern Lights dancing across the night sky.
As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, the tour offers an opportunity to experience the Arctic night, learn about the auroras and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Lapland after dark.
Your guide will share information about the Northern Lights and provide tips on how to capture them with your camera. During the evening, we will also enjoy a BBQ snack by the open fire.
Please note that this tour finishes late in the evening and may not be suitable for young children.

Join us on an evening search for the Northern Lights away from the city lights.
Before departure, we carefully monitor weather and aurora forecasts to identify the areas with the best viewing conditions. Depending on the weather, we may travel further from Rovaniemi in search of clear skies.
At the viewing location, your guide will share stories about Northern Lights myths and legends, as well as the science behind this natural phenomenon. You will also receive practical tips for photographing the auroras with your camera or smartphone. Tripods suitable for most cameras and mobile devices are available to use during the tour.
While waiting for the auroras, we will gather around an open fire and enjoy BBQ snacks.
As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Private kota hut • Open-fire cooking • Up to 15 guests
Enjoy a traditional Finnish kota hut experience with family, friends or your own group.
A kota is a traditional wooden shelter with a fireplace at its centre, designed for gathering around the fire in all seasons. During your private rental, you can relax, spend time together and prepare snacks over the open fire.
The kota hut is located within Santa Claus Holiday Village, just a short walk from the reception.
The rental includes firewood, fire-lighting equipment and grilling skewers.
Food and drinks are not included but can be purchased separately from Santa's Foodmarket
